AH Junior Officiating Clinics

A Junior Officiating Team (or Work Team) consist of the members of a junior’s team who are part of the tournament officiating crew during a team’s assigned work matches.

Aloha Region policy requires that every Junior Officiating Team be trained before they participate in a match as part of the officiating crew.

To aid compliance, the 2023-24 training courses are automatically loaded into each Junior Player’s account.  Completion of the required course will result in AH Junior Certification.  To assist in the completion of the officiating requirement, the Aloha Region (AH) has resumed in-person clinics..

The clinic presents and reviews the current rules, interpretations, mechanics, etc.  Basic scoring will also be covered.

A club/team requesting a clinic should write to:

The club/team would have to provide the following:

  • Requested Dates
    • It is recommended that they have at least two potential dates.
    • The allotted time would be 90-120 minutes.
  • Location
    • A meeting room is preferred due to ambient noise in the gym.  However, we’ll try to work with what they have.
    • We understand that gym time is valuable for the teams.  We will not conduct a clinic before/after practice.  The club/team should dedicate that time to the clinic.
  • Fee
    • The clinic fee is $45/team and is payable to the assigned clinician.
  • Equipment
    • Best if they can provide portable screen.  A CMU wall does not work well.
